The first blog post

As of March 24th nothing has changed from an official standpoint. I have met with an attorney specializing in Non-profits for guidance and I’ve talked to several other individuals who are interested in the society, an existing member of another society or have experience with other organizations.

Next up is to choose an official Registered Agent for the organization, then file the federal application. Following that I will need to file similar paperwork in Washington state. In the meantime I will be looking for a meeting space where we can have our first get together. If you know a place, please let me know. I think starting out in restaurants or pubs would be fine for a small number of people, and then we’ll need to figure out a place that can accommodate more as we continue to grow.
